The University of Basrah Chairs the Periodic Meeting of the Deans' Committee of Colleges of Administration and Economics

The Dean of the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Basrah, who also chairs the Deans' Committee for Administration and Economics, presided over the committee's second meeting of 2026, held today at the University of Wasit/College of Administration and Economics.
The meeting addressed the evaluation of the first-semester assessment exams for the Business Administration and Accounting departments. The passing rates were discussed after adding five points to the scores of eligible students.
The meeting also included discussions and a review of the college members of several proposed new departments in private colleges, as well as a review of the faculty of the Economics Teachers Branch at the College of Administration, University of Baghdad. A specialized committee was also formed to review the faculty for the establishment of an Accounting Department at the University of Kirkuk. Finally, the curriculum for the third and fourth years of all departments within the Colleges of Administration and Economics was approved.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Chairman of the Deans' Committee expressed his gratitude to the Dean of the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Wasit for their warm welcome and hospitality.

On the sidelines of the meeting, the President of Wasit University and a representative of the university's academics' union presented a commemorative plaque to the Dean of the College of Administration and Economics at Basra University, in appreciation of his academic and administrative efforts and his role in chairing the committee of deans of administration and economics departments.
The attendees agreed to hold the next meeting at Qadisiyah University on 25/9/2026.
