University of Basrah Organizes a Seminar on Linear and Matrix Programming Applications
The College of Administration and Economics/Department of Accounting, in cooperation with the Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basra, organized a scientific seminar entitled "Applying Linear and Matrix Programming Techniques in Analyzing Production Constraints and Maximizing Profit."
The seminar aimed to introduce linear and matrix programming, analyze production constraints, and develop decision-making skills using mathematical models and Excel and Python software.

The seminar, presented by lecturer Mohammed Musa and Tabarak Qasim Ibrahim, included a presentation on the concepts of linear programming and its role in improving resource utilization and maximizing profit within production institutions.
The seminar recommended promoting the use of quantitative analysis and modern mathematical models in addressing production and administrative problems.
