University of Basra Organizes a Scientific Seminar on Digital Economy and E-commerce

The College of Administration and Economics, through its Educational Guidance and Psychological Counseling Unit, in cooperation with the Department of Business Administration and the Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basra, organized a scientific seminar entitled "Digital Economy and E-commerce."

The seminar aimed to equip participants with the tools of technological innovation and enhance their abilities in managing digital platforms to increase productivity and competitiveness.

The seminar, presented by lecturers Yasmin Najm Abdullah and Iman Raad Fattah, included an analysis of digital transformation and its impact on shaping modern business models, reviewing the mechanisms of e-commerce and smart supply chains.

The seminar recommended the necessity of developing digital infrastructure and legislation, supporting entrepreneurship and startups technologically, and strengthening cybersecurity systems to protect financial transactions.
