University of Basrah Organizes Seminar on Intellectual Extremism
The College of Administration and Economics/Human Rights Unit, in cooperation with the Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basrah, organized a seminar entitled "Intellectual Extremism and its Impact on the Individual and Society."
The seminar aimed to highlight the dangers of extremism and its negative impact on the individual and society, and to clarify the importance of tolerance and moderation in building a healthy society.
The seminar, presented by Dr. Baidaa Riyadh and Lecturer Murtadha Kadhim, included a discussion of the role of Islam and religious values in rejecting extremism, as it is a cause of the moral and religious collapse of society.
The seminar recommended the necessity of promoting the values of tolerance and moderation within and outside the university community, emphasizing the role of students, as future community leaders, in disseminating these values.
